Ferdinand Banda sang his first
vocal solo at the age of 5, when he
sang Silent Night at his kindergarten recital. He has played in
various bands, starting in the 1970's, as a singer/guitarist. he
is currently singing and playing with kindred Spirit, an alternative folk
band that performs original music. A protégé of Dr. Raymond
Smolover, Ferd is a Certified Teacher of Vocal Behavior Training (VBT).
He has taught for the National Music Workshop (a program of the National
Guitar Workshop) in the Hartford, CT area. He lives with his
family in Bristol, CT.
